There's a website that makes exchanging those items easy and affordable.
With the current state of the economy its likely that entertaining yourself means picking up a book or movie in your own home.
Without setting foot in a store you can get your hands on just about any book or DVD just by logging on to bookins dot com.
The so-called "trading engine" lets you post your old books and movies and exchange them for items you want. Regardless of weight, every item is $4.50 the site's flat rate shipping fee.
Posting an item is as easy as entering the ISBN or UPC code the site fills in the rest of the details.
The website will also automatically arrange for shipments so you don't need to contact anyone.
In terms of DVD's, you can also get boxed sets, or blu-rays..
Yours to keep for less than five dollars apiece and of course you have the option of trading it back in.
